Yesterday’s sermon was based on the experience of the disciples who walked with Jesus on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24).
It was only later that they realised it was Jesus who had been with them.
Sometimes in life we go through tough times and we think we’re alone. We aren’t though, he’s always with us, even when we don’t realise it at the time.
We need to remind ourselves of the footprints poem. The times when there’s only one set of prints doesn’t mean that we’re on our own.
It actually means that’s the time he carried us.
