Read, Study, And Above All, Put Into Practice

Good morning and welcome to yet another service with a difference, as we meet online, as opposed to in person. As we open our hearts to the Lord, we ask that he would shower blessings upon us.

Today, we are focusing on the word and the importance of not only reading, but studying, and above all, living it out in our life.

Acts chapter seventeen tells us that… ‘they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.’

The following music video, from Carman, is a perfect example of putting the word into practice.

Our mini-sermon (1 minute 47 seconds) this morning is about the importance of the Bible in our lives, as an external rule for living. You can’t always rely on your conscience.

Our final song is from Amy Grant. Based on words from the Bible, Thy Word Is A Lamp Unto My Feet.

Lord, we thank you for the Bible. Give us the desire to read more, study more and then to live it out on a daily basis. Amen.
