Don’t Be Affected By That Which Is Beyond Your Control

Good morning and welcome to another service with a difference. Although we can’t meet together in person at the moment, nevertheless we can still connect via the internet.

We have a football-themed service once a month at TFC, and just because we can’t currently meet physically, why should that change?

Let’s pray: Lord, we thank you that even in the most difficult of circumstances, you are there with us and for us. We don’t always recognise it, but it’s true.

Football fans aren’t particularly noted for singing hymns but West Bromwich Albion supporters have adopted The Lord’s My Shepherd as their own.

Our version today doesn’t come from the Brummie Road End, though, but rather the Arion Male Voice Choir.

Today’s short message (1 minute 37 seconds) is based on football and you can watch that below. If you’re interested in more inspirational messages of this nature, CLICK HERE.

Football is a team game, and although it’s made up of eleven individuals, the best sides are the ones that work together doing what the manager tells them, not what they think is best.

That doesn’t need any further explanation.

Our final hymn is another one associated with the beautiful game, Abide With Me.

Thank you for joining with us today. We trust that you will know the peace of God is these troubled times.
